In addition to his work as a teacher-librarian, Mr. Montgomery was a classroom teacher at Valhalla High School, teaching English, Humanities, and Drama.
Mr. Montgomery is co-author--with Bonnie Lange and Nancy Magee--of "Does Collaboration Boost Student Learning?," which was pubished in the June 2003 edition of School Library Journal.
In 2002, Mr. Montgomery was selected as Grossmont Union High School District Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Tilley has also worked as a classroom aide at Helix High School in the HOP Program (an after school program designed to help at-risk students retreive credits and to be able to work during the day). In this position she worked directly with students, tutoring in English, geography, algebra and geometry work. From 1994 - 2003, Mrs. Tilley worked in the Adult School Program at San Diego City College, tutoring students one-on-one to help adults earn high school diplomas or G.E.D.s.
Mrs. Tilley, her husband and Loquacious the cat live in Lemon Grove. She has two grown children--and one ADORABLE granddaughter!
