Teacher Librarian: Carolyn Teschler
After teaching English at Santana for fourteen years, I transitioned into the role of Librarian in 2007. This "job" is really a match made in heaven as it blends my love of literature and research with my desire to help both staff and students alike. Among my many goals, I work to develop our reading selections for all students- providing quality literature that spans many tastes and reading levels. I really want to make the library a place for students to study, find great books for both personal and academic reading, and gather with friends for a number of reasons.
When I'm not flitting about the library, I spend time enjoying a number of activities. Walking my dogs, reading (of course), doing yoga, gardening, hiking, and working on stained glass are only a smattering of what takes up my time.
Library Technician: Michelle Lawshe-Winslow
My "partner in crime", Michelle Lawshe-Winslow come to Santana in 2012 after working at Monte Vista. Among her many tasks in the library, she works to catalog new books and get them out to students, help students in anything and everything, and keep things running smoothly as the LIbrary can be crazy busy at times. She has a wonderful sense of humor and enjoys yoga, gardening, bike riding, and hiking.
